An exciting event is coming up for ONDO in South Africa, together with our local partner, The Irrigation Company!

On Monday, Sept 21st, at 10.00 am we invite you to join us for a demo day at Mondi Greenhouse Nurseries in Hilton, South Africa – part of the global Mondi Group.

During the event, visitors will get an on-site walk-through and live demonstration of the ONDO automation solutions implemented across the greenhouse complex. The demonstration will be led by ONDO CEO Ilia Iordanov and The Irrigation Company CEO Craig Cholwill.

Automation tailored to different plant requirements

Mondi’s nurseries in Hilton grow a variety of saplings across six tunnel greenhouses. The different plant species have specific irrigation, fertigation and climate requirements. They require different irrigation cycles, different EC and pH levels of the irrigation water, and carefully controlled temperature and humidity conditions. Meeting the irrigation and nutritional needs of the plants at every stage of their development is therefore essential.

Equally important is maintaining a controlled greenhouse environment while having the flexibility to react immediately to changing external conditions. ONDO enables these processes to be monitored and managed automatically, helping ensure that each crop receives the right amount of water and nutrients under the right environmental conditions.
