ONDO introduces advanced control and monitoring for power generators

We are glad to announce the release of a new functionality in ONDO that has recently been widely requested by a number of customers worldwide. ONDO now supports advanced control and monitoring for power generators, offering smart automation and complete visual clarity for backup energy management. 

The new feature will allow even remote, off-the-grid farms to automate their precise irrigation, fertigation and climate control processes, while ensuring a smooth and effortless backup-power integration – fully controlled, together with the automation – from the cloud platform My ONDO. As until now, you will still need a simple solar package required to keep your ONDO Pro controller powered and ready to coordinate the complete process.

The users of this functionality can choose between 3 different operational setups: Time-based, Time-based with feedback input and Controller-based – ensuring compatibility with everything from simple generators using basic starting sequence to controller-based smart generators. Furthermore, ONDO upgrades system status tracking with seven precise states (including Starting, Warming up, and a dedicated off-load Cooling down phase), so operators always know exactly who holds control over the generator’s operating cycle.

Reliability is significantly strengthened thanks to smart diagnostic filtering and custom alarm configuration. By separating critical engine alarms from standard feedback signals, ONDO prioritizes immediate safety stops for serious machine failures while avoiding operator false trips caused by signal noise. Integrators can map specific hardware inputs to customizable alarm causes – such as low fuel warnings or low oil pressure critical faults – giving farms accurate diagnostic insights without unnecessary lockouts.

Designed for effortless daily monitoring, the generator Dashboard card delivers an instant view of active alarms, operational timers, and external engine starts directly on your mobile device. When issues arise, field operators can easily review incidents or clear routine faults using integrated Reset options on the Alarms screen. 

ONDO also provides complete auditability by tracking how alarms clear, ensuring full transparency across both automated system events and manual hardware resets.
