We are glad to share the news that ONDO has been recently selected to join the summer cohort of Bulgaria Innovation Hub’s virtual “equity-free” accelerator program.

ONDO Smart farming solutions joins BIH summer cohort

The goal of this accelerator program is to help founders prepare for setting foot on the US market, which, despite the hard corona virus times, is still one of the main technology markets. As part of this cohort, between June 8th and June 26th ONDO’s founders will be getting help with polishing and adjusting the company’s Go-to-Market strategy, with getting to know the US legal environment and will be making valuable connections and meeting potential partners, clients, and investors.

The Bulgaria Innovation Hub (BIH) is a Silicon Valley-based hub founded by successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs. Their acceleration programs are targeted at high-potential startups that need support with entering the US market – meeting clients, establishing legal entities and talking to investors. For startups the hub provides office space in San Francisco, access to legal and tax advisors, intros to mentors, potential partners and clients, and VCs. Because of the current epidemic situation, though, for 2020 the team of BIH has decided to conduct the whole program in an online environment, which could also save the founders costs for travel and accommodation. This is not expected to affect the establishment of connections to potential US partners and investors, though, since most US companies are anyways working remotely in the past months and video meetings are now common.

So, being part of the summer 2020 cohort of BIH, the founders of ONDO Smart Farming solutions are already participating in an online program consisting of 27 modules, the last of which is pitching in front of Silicon Valley VCs that the team of BIH has selected. Among the mentors of the program are the former Director of Programs at Tesla and founder of Straubel Foundation Boryana Straubel, the Product Director of Rubrik Jenn Wei, the partner at leading VC firm Greylock Jerry Chen and others.

We want to thank the Innovation Hub for this exciting and valuable opportunity! We are looking forward to making the best use of all know-how and  connections we will gain in this program, so ONDO’s smart agriculture solutions may get ready for entering the US market in the very near future.
