We have earlier shared with you the upcoming internationalisation mission of ONDO to the Republic of South Africa, which was made possible thanks to a grant by the Eurocluster INGENIOUS.
With the mission being completed now, we are glad to share the amazing progress we have done with regard to the entry of ONDO on the huge RSA market!
Throughout very intense 8 days of the trip our ‘missionary’ – the CTO of ONDO Ivan Dragoev – did numerous meetings with potential distribution partners, as well as with farmers in the agriculture-intense region of KwaZulu-Natal. We learned tons about the specifics of the local market, and the usage of competitive solutions to address the automation needs of the local farmers. We also identified great opportunities for ONDO and nailed down the next steps towards setting up a steady foot on this market!
We are very happy to also let you know that we now have our second installation of ONDO in RSA and first installation of an ONDO Pro solution for automated management and control of the irrigation and precise fertigation in the country!
We have completed this installation during our mission, together with our partner for RSA – The Irrigation Company – and their awesome team of engineers! ONDO CTO used the opportunity to supervise the ONDO installation and deliver training as well as professional expertise with regard to the optimal setup of the customer’s ONDO automation solution. We will share more details on this installation soon!
