ONDO has grabbed the award for “Agricultural Innovator” at the annual Bulgarian awards “Agricultural Businessman of the Year”. The awards are handed over during the annual meeting of farmers and representatives of the agribusiness in Bulgaria, and presented in in several categories – bio farmer, young agricultural businessman, market entry and scientific contribution to the sector.
The ceremony was joined by the Minister of Agriculture prof. dr. Hristo Bozukov and the deputy executive of the fund “Agriculture” Boriana Alexieva.

Thanks to “24 hours” and “BG farmer” for the support they provide for the agricultural sector in Bulgaria. And most of all – thanks to all farmers who trusted us and are automating their farms with ONDO. They are the real agricultural businessmen of the year, because they are innovative and work hard to remain competitive“, shared Svilen Mladenov, chief agronomist of ONDO when being handed the award by Krasimira Ivanova, marketing manager of BASF who pointed out that the company invests 11% of their annual turnover in R&D.
„The reason behind the success of the modern Bulgarian agriculture is the existence of companies like ONDO”, said Krasimira Ivanova.
The company ‘Minfruit’ was awarded in sector ‘Market entry’ and bio farm ‘Rozino’ won the award in category ‘bio farmer’. Doc. Bozhidar Ivanov, director of the Institute for agricultural economics at the Agricultural Academy grabbed the award for ‘Scientist contributing to the sector’, and as ‘young agrobusinessman of the year’ the contest jury awarded Galina Mircheva, sheep breeder from Petarnitsa village, Pleven region. Venelin Delgyanski grabbed the Big Rooster award for successfully operating his “Grand Agro” family farm in Rakovski, with a 6500 ha of farming land.
