What’s new in ONDO

Summer is a busy period for farmers, and it’s been a busy period for our dev team too. We’ve been actively working on new additions and improvements in ONDO software platform, and here they are now live!

What’s new in the hot-hot-hot version 17092024 of My ONDO?

Improved main alarms

The main alarms in ONDO relate to notifying on potential clogging, leaks or low-battery devices in the farm infrastructure and are based on measurements from the water meters, ferti metres, device batteries, as well as on tracking the automated actions taken by the system. Those alarms can also be received as push notifications on the user’s mobile phone.
Following feedback from the ONDO users, we have now improved the main alarms and expect to see more accurate and timely alert notifications sent to the ONDO farmers.

Custom, user-defined alarms

In addition to the main alarms, the ONDO users now have the option to create their own alarms, based on the measurements of many devices in their automated infrastructure – sensors (air, soil, EC/pH, etc), device inputs, device batteries and others. Thus, the system will alert the user any time the sensor measurements exceed the defined alarm threshold, any time some device has no signal, any time some device (e.g UPS) has low voltage, any time the water tank levels are high/low and more! Of course, a notification is also sent when the alarm has cleared.

Improved calculation of the water meter flow rate

The correct calculation of the current water meter flow rate is required for the timely and accurate raising of water meter-based alarms, as well as for different calculations done in the irrigation programs, reporting and others. We have now improved the calculation of the water meter flow rate to increase the precision of your ONDO automation.

Support of functionalities related to the weather station ONDO Sense

The new weather station ONDO Sense is now undergoing extensive field tests and we keep improving the functionalities related to the integration of sensor data from ONDO Sense in My ONDO.

New languages – Russian and Ukrainian

ONDO is constantly working on onboarding new international partners. As part of our commitment to the partners, we are translating the ONDO interface into extra languages. Russian and Ukrainian are the two new languages that ONDO can be used in, and we are looking forward to seeing many new farmers in ONDO managing their automations in those languages to increase their profit and sustainability!
